Black Friday is here again, with discounts and special offers being heavily promoted by many retailers. I opened my inbox this morning and I had so many emails offering me money off or free gifts. I logged onto Instagram and some of my favourite retailers were in my feed with their offers too. It can feel so tempting to bag a bargain, and if you can afford it and it is a purchase you were planning anyway then it is a good way to get the most for your money.
But from experience I know it is so easy to buy something because it is such a good offer….and then later on feel a bit of regret…and then a few days later really wish I still had the money in my bank.
This is your reminder, amidst all the offers and pressure to buy, you don’t HAVE to spend any money today.
One thing I do is to start my purchase but not finish it, leaving it in my online basket (and my money in my account) and then going back a few hours later. Sometimes I am really glad that I didn’t give in to my first instinct and buy whatever it was, and other times I am sure I want to go ahead.
